AI Assistant for Slack

Manage tasks, summarise channels, and act on threads from the Slack you already keep open.

What will you call your assistant?

Your AI assistant, right in Slack.

Amplify your Slack

Your assistant joins your workspace as a bot user, in the same Slack you're already in all day. No new tab to keep open, no separate inbox, no context to reload every time you switch.

Your assistantBot user · DM or @mention
Summarise the #product-launch channel since Monday.
Done. Three decisions, two open questions, one blocker on legal review.
Draft a reply to the blocker and DM it to me first.
Drafted. Sent to your DM. Won't post until you say go.

Illustrative. The assistant answers in the same place you already work.

Answers where you ping it

DM for private work, @mention in a channel when the team should see the answer.

Slash-commands work

Trigger a workflow inline with a slash-command. No app-switch, no copy-paste.

Threads back in-place

Long replies land as a proper Slack thread instead of one wall of text.

What you send. What comes back.

Four real prompts you can send on day one, and what your assistant actually does with them.

You send

Catch me up on #product-launch since yesterday

It does

Reads the channel's recent messages, pulls out decisions and open questions, sends a short summary in your DM.

You send

Post the launch update to #announcements

It does

Drafts the update from your notes, shows it to you first, posts once you say go.

You send

Turn this thread into a task in Notion

It does

Reads the thread you point it at, writes a task page with owner and due date, links back to the thread.

You send

Ping me at 9am with anything that needs my reply today

It does

Scans your mentions and unread threads overnight, sends you a short priority list at 9am tomorrow.

Connect Slack in minutes.

How you connect it

~2 min setup
  1. Install the Slack app from your workspace's app directory.
  2. Pick the channels you want your assistant to see. DM-only is fine.
  3. Send your first message. Your assistant is on.

What it sees. What it never touches.

  • Read messages you DM to your assistant, and messages that @mention it in a channel.
  • Open the files and links you share with it directly.
  • Operating under GDPR.
  • Reach beyond DMs and channels you're actively talking to it in. It doesn't crawl the workspace.
  • Keep working after you remove it from a channel or uninstall the app. Slack cuts the connection immediately.

Ready to run Slack with an assistant?

Information vs action

ChatGPT tells you how. Amplify does it.

Writes text

Gets things done

Answers only when asked

Acts on its own, on schedule, in the background

Lives inside a chat box

Works across your inbox, calendar, files and chats

Forgets you next session

Remembers you and your preferences

Outlines the steps

Does the steps

Reads and writes

Reads, listens, builds and sends

This is the difference between businesses running in 2022 and 2026 @steipete changed how future business's run. Love or hate openclaw, it's a great implementation of how you can have actual AI employees.

Getting Codex 5.5 to troubleshoot and optimise my agents has been game-changing. Both @openclaw and @hermes agents now running codex 5.5, v. fast and stable. Marcus (@openclaw) is playing with new marketplace for agents to create and run financial workflows, check it out:

🚀 @OpenClaw's next release looks great: new gateway stall diagnostics, tougher updates, smarter plugin installs, sturdier Codex transcripts, and a stack of channel fixes. Lots of stability work, with some genuinely nice UX polish too ✨

Big thanks to @steipete and the @openclaw team! 2026.5.4 runs great! 🤩🌺 and also for the statement and great plans ahead! 🙏 openclaw.ai/blog/openclaw-... #openclaw #claw #maytheclawbewithyou

I really appreciate how @Base44 has the best of @v0 and @openclaw all in-one and with cross-product integration between their vibe coding and their agents. A toolkit I didn't know how much I would love.

Frequently asked questions

Your assistant joins your workspace as a bot user. DM it for private work, or @mention it in a channel when the team should see the answer. It only responds where you're actively addressing it.

Only DMs you send it and messages that @mention it in channels you've added it to. Other channel chatter is ignored. Nothing else is read.

The connection cuts immediately. Slack stops delivering messages the moment you kick the bot from the channel or uninstall the app.

Ready for an assistant that actually gets work done?

Three answers, then it is yours. The free plan has no countdown and no card.
