AI Assistant for GitHub

Triage PRs, comment on issues, and draft PR descriptions from the chat you already use.

What will you call your assistant?

Your AI assistant, wired into GitHub.

Amplify your GitHub

Your assistant reads your GitHub repos, PRs, and issues, and can act on them from the chat you already use. No opening ten tabs to figure out what's on today.

Your assistantRepo access · read and act
What's blocking the release branch this week?
Two PRs pending review, one CI failing on flaky tests, one issue tagged blocker with no assignee.
Assign the blocker to me and comment that I'm on it.
Assigned. Commented. Everyone tagged on the issue was notified.

Illustrative. The assistant answers in the same place you already work.

Reads the repos you connect

PRs, issues, commits, checks. Answers questions from what's actually there, not guesses.

Acts on PRs and issues

Comment, assign, label, close. Whatever your token permission allows.

Respects branch protection

Doesn't bypass required reviews or CI. If a check is red, your assistant tells you and stops.

What you send. What comes back.

Four real prompts you can send on day one, and what your assistant actually does with them.

You send

What's blocking the release branch this week?

It does

Reads PRs, CI status, and blocker-tagged issues on the branch, sends a short triage list.

You send

Draft a PR description from these commits

It does

Reads the commit range you point it at, writes a PR description in your team's format, opens the PR as draft.

You send

Comment on the flaky test issue that I'm looking into it

It does

Finds the issue, adds a comment in your voice, assigns you if not already assigned.

You send

Ping me every Monday with PRs waiting on my review

It does

Scans open PRs where you're requested, sends the list every Monday morning with links.

Connect GitHub in minutes.

How you connect it

~1 min setup
  1. Open the GitHub integration setting on your dashboard, click Connect.
  2. Authorise the org and repos you want your assistant to reach.
  3. Send your first message. Your assistant is on.

What it sees. What it never touches.

  • Read the repos, PRs, and issues you've given it access to.
  • Comment, assign, label, and open PRs when you ask it to.
  • Operating under GDPR.
  • Reach beyond the repos you connected. It can't browse your other orgs.
  • Keep working after you revoke the app. GitHub cuts the connection immediately.

Information vs action

ChatGPT tells you how. Amplify does it.

Writes text

Gets things done

Answers only when asked

Acts on its own, on schedule, in the background

Lives inside a chat box

Works across your inbox, calendar, files and chats

Forgets you next session

Remembers you and your preferences

Outlines the steps

Does the steps

Reads and writes

Reads, listens, builds and sends

This is the difference between businesses running in 2022 and 2026 @steipete changed how future business's run. Love or hate openclaw, it's a great implementation of how you can have actual AI employees.

Getting Codex 5.5 to troubleshoot and optimise my agents has been game-changing. Both @openclaw and @hermes agents now running codex 5.5, v. fast and stable. Marcus (@openclaw) is playing with new marketplace for agents to create and run financial workflows, check it out:

🚀 @OpenClaw's next release looks great: new gateway stall diagnostics, tougher updates, smarter plugin installs, sturdier Codex transcripts, and a stack of channel fixes. Lots of stability work, with some genuinely nice UX polish too ✨

Big thanks to @steipete and the @openclaw team! 2026.5.4 runs great! 🤩🌺 and also for the statement and great plans ahead! 🙏 openclaw.ai/blog/openclaw-... #openclaw #claw #maytheclawbewithyou

I really appreciate how @Base44 has the best of @v0 and @openclaw all in-one and with cross-product integration between their vibe coding and their agents. A toolkit I didn't know how much I would love.

Frequently asked questions

Your assistant reads the repos, PRs, and issues you connect. Ask from the chat you already use, and it can comment, assign, label, or open PRs within your token's permissions.

Only the repos you authorised. Other orgs and private projects stay out of reach.

No. If a required review or check is red, your assistant tells you and stops. It doesn't force-push or skip protections.

Ready for an assistant that actually gets work done?

Three answers, then it is yours. The free plan has no countdown and no card.
